Welcome to Hobo Books!
A wandering library for curious minds. Find your next read in the wild.
Once upon a time, there were special books called Hobo Books who traveled around the country meeting new people, sharing their wonderful stories, and searching for a place to call home.

About Hobo Books
Hey there — I’m really glad you stopped by.
If you’re here, I’m guessing you found a Hobo Book. YAY! Thanks for taking the time to check out the site. I appreciate it.
Hobo Books is something I do whenever I'm traveling or wandering about. I like to leave books behind in hopes that someone like you will stumble across one, enjoy it, and maybe even pass it along.
Each Hobo Book has its own number, a sticker, and a bookmark I designed. There’s also a short note for whoever finds it — kind of like a message in a bottle, but for book people.
What happens next is totally up to you. You can keep the book, leave it somewhere for a stranger to find, or pass it to a friend. If you hang onto it, you can always make a new Hobo Book by tucking the bookmark into another book and setting that one free.
I’d love to know where your Hobo Book ended up. If you’re up for it, there’s a quick form below where you can log it. Not into forms? That’s cool — feel free to email me at ifoundone@hobobooks.org. No pressure, though. This whole thing is just about sharing stories and spreading a little reading joy. However far your Hobo Book travels, I’m just happy you found one. Enjoy!

Left on a table outside of Cafe BoneJour Pet Boutique & Bakery in Bay St. Louis, MS. Thank you to the person who left the little blue rubber ducky on the table. I put the Hobo Book under it.
